Getting there

Montenegro has two airports, Tivat and Podgorica, but the most popular option is to fly to Croatia's Dubrovnik airport, just 16km across the border. The advantage of heading to Dubrovnik is the greater choice of flights offered from UK airports, often at a lower cost. However, in summer 2008 many visitors reported long queues at the border crossing into Montenegro. We strongly recommend booking early to get the best prices.
